I've always had a fondness for things mechanical, especially things with two wheels. It's interesting how things go full circle from bicycles as a youth, to motorcycles as a young adult, now as I ... ahem "mature" I find my interests reverting back to bicycles. Though even when I went through my motorcycle phase I still had my bicycle too!

Most folks are very content to go to the store, pick out a bike, adjust it to fit and with the exception of perhaps a mirror, water bottle or a little tote bag to carry their keys, smokes or whatever, ride the bike just as it is. I, on the other hand, can 't leave well enough alone. I just can't seem to drive past the weekly offerings for the sanitary engineers without spying the rusted handlebar of some forgotten era, and dragging out whatever is attached. Instantly my mind goes into "Creativity Mode"... What will this be? How can I make it "better"? What can I do to it to make it scream "Stacey!"?

Right now my projects include personalizing my 27" Raleigh Road Bike and building my first recumbent (FINISHED). On deck, (but indefinitly delayed while other projects have developed) are two tandems; first will a 20 incher, then maybe I'll tackle a 26" model. I'm thinking too because of the hilly area that we live in, I'll try my hand at a GPV, for those FAST downhill runs :-) Stay tuned, for photos and text updates as they happen.

I've set aside this space for those of us who, for whatever reason, don't have a web site. I had a first thought of calling it "Visiting Dignitaries". "Dignitaries" sounds too pretentious after all we all just working stiff's and since they will be carried here permanantly the "Visiting" didn't really apply. So, I went with my gut and am willing to suffer the slings and arrows of my detractors to bring you;
